Born in Quebec in 1967, Tanaquil studied at Blackheath School of Art & Camberwell College of Art in London, England and Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax, Canada.
She fell in love with drawing, paint, and printmaking. For Tanaquil, drawing is the beginning of thinking art. Painting can only start from that point.
Individual and free in her own world, Tanaquil explores and paints in instants, her paintings are of the moment, the fleeting present.
Discrete about her work and her ways of thinking, Tanaquil gives to her canvases as she would her intimacy. Always with energy and renewal.
Without a word.
Tanaquil today lives and works her paint from the south of France in the Provençale village of La Gaude in the rugged hills north west of Nice.
